The opening of Sakala gives a fine reason To venTure ouT To The Tanjung Benoa peninsula for a Spot of fine food and drinkS

Slated to become the Ku De Ta of the Nusa Dua/Tanjung Benoa region, Sakala takes the dining experience out of the resorts and into a stunning independent destination. Translated loosely as “everything” in Hindu, Sakala aims to provide an all-encompassing experience, whether you come for the day to enjoy the casual poolside fare and beach-club ambience, or visit in the evening to indulge in signature fine dining, or drop by for an after-dinner cocktail.

Built on a grand scale, the beachfront venue features four magnificent sandstone towers, all inspired by the kulkul (bell) towers found in every Balinese village. The upper echelons make ideal private dining areas, opening on to spacious decks for larger functions. Downstairs, starlit dinners can be enjoyed poolside, or under cover in a contemporary yet lavish setting with inlaid floor tiles, exotic lamps and an impressive glass bar that gleams like crystal. Tables are simply adorned with white tablecloths, heavy green glass candleholders and stems of dark pink orchids. An entire wall is dedicated to wine, personally selected by manager Herve Hedbert, a seasoned restaurateur with a passion for world wines and a sommelier-like knowledge.
