In recent years, the number and variety of restaurants in Bali have been increasing at an amazing speed. Some have succeeded overnight while others have taken more time to develop a regular clientele. Hello Bali's Best Restaurant Survey is now a much anticipated annual event, and is a way of injecting a bit of fun into a serious attempt to promote Bali as a gourmet destination.

There can be no doubt that Bali can boast the best selection of good dining experiences of any resort island in the world and at prices that make Bali a most attractive proposition for the lovers of good food.
We now have cuisine from a vast range of countries, including Vietnam, Morocco, Korea, Thailand, Sweden, China and Japan while still benefiting from some great local culinary delights.

A ballot form is included in this copy of 'Hello Bali' so please take a few minutes to fill in the names of your favourite restaurants and return the form to our office in Kuta, by fax, e-mail or fill the form online. You can nominate as many as you like but only one in each category. Think about the quality of the food, the level of service, the value for money, the ambience or anything else that you consider to be important.

The following pages contain short reviews of a large number of restaurants in Bali but this is simply a random selection to give you some ideas. You do NOT have to choose one from our list as ALL restaurants in Bali are eligible for nomination; from humble warungs to exclusive fine-dining establishments.

One thing that pleases us at 'Hello Bali' is that winning an award in this annual event is very important to many restaurants. Therefore we would like to thank you in advance for taking the time in filling out the ballot form and making the Restaurant Awards as successful as they are and shall be this 2006.
