Bali has become a villa paradise where gorgeous and less gorgeous villas occupy prime lands, with views looking out over serene vistas, perfect beaches, not to mention the ever decreasing rice fields – one of the top choices.

Many hotels, including the Four Seasons, the Ritz Carlton, of course the Oberoi, the Kayumanis Resorts, Samaya, the Waka resorts (not ot mention the three Aman properties) have their own private villas available, in addition to their normal rooms.

Now almost every hotel has at least a few special villas as well. To choose just ten villas was a work of inspiration and perspiration and we have tried to choose something to appeal to everyone. Whether the kitschy 60's James Bond-esque slant of the new Luna 2 or the laid back comfort of the Villas in Seminyak or the very upmarket Istana, the variety is almost infinite...
