Hidden
away in a quiet street of Penestanan is the charming bijou resort of Waka
Namya. Created for the discerning, the Waka style offers a more intimate
experience of Bali. Lush vegetation, luxurious villas and an emphasis
on culture and beautiful natural surroundings help to define the Waka
style. Expect no television or raucous entertainment but more an emphasis
on quiet relaxation.

Putu Rudana is the US educated son of Rudana, creator of the well respected
Rudana Art Museum and Gallery in Mas, home to one of the best collections
of Indonesian art in Indonesia, Putu has developed a concept a holiday
with education – an art education and at least some immersion into
Balinese culture. His years away from Bali brought him a new appreciation
of his own culture and he sees his island as a unique destination. Not
only does Bali have the great beaches, bars, restaurants, shopping and
nightlife of other destinations, but the living culture, volcanoes and
spectacular natural landscapes are something that few other places can
offer. Nature plus art plus culture can add up to a very special experience.
